Plugging in the techie's new toys



Christopher Grove penned an article in Variety on the state of state of the art technology in production and post-production. Dark was quoted about High Definition acquistion and post in the article:

The HDW-700 (the first HDTV camcorder on the market) and the multipurpose VTRs are bound to get some pulses racing. No one owns either of the new gadgets yet but Randall Dark, president of Dallas-based HDVision, can't wait to get his hands on them.

"They'll open up a whole new world," says Dark. "I'm not an advocate of the death of film, but the pictures we're getting from high definition equipment are incredible."
